Two people are in hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 329 left them with moderate to serious injuries.
According to police, a man was waiting to cross the highway just after 9 a.m. when a small car stopped to allow him to cross.

As the man began to cross the road, a pickup truck rear-ended the stopped car, causing the stopped car to hit the pedestrian.
The Mounties say the driver of the truck did not realize that the car was stopped.
The pedestrian, a 57-year-old man from Mill Cove, suffered serious injuries and was transported via ambulance to hospital.

The driver of the car was also injured and was transported to hospital with moderate injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
An RCMP Collision Analyst was called to examine the scene for evidence.
Highway 329 is closed and RCMP say they expect to re-open the road later this afternoon.
