Nova Scotia man charged with child pornography, RCMP look for other victims

A 19-year-old Nova Scotia man is facing multiple child pornography-related charges and RCMP are concerned there may be other victims.

Brett MacBeth was arrested without incident on Oct. 11 after a search of a home in Westville.

RCMP say MacBeth has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, making child pornography and three counts of possession of child pornography.

He appeared in court on Oct. 12 and has been remanded until his next appearance.

Police say they are concerned there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information to call the RCMP Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit at 902-720-5340.

The ICE Unit, RCMP Technological Crime Unit, Westville Police Service, Pictou District RCMP, RCMP Special Operations Tactical Search Team, and the RCMP North East Nova Major Crime Unit all took part in the investigation.
