One man airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being struck in Aldergrove

One man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle on the 27300 block of Fraser Highway in Aldergrove Monday night.

Langley RCMP Staff Sergeant David Brown says the 73 year-old man was hit when he was crossing in the eastbound lane just after 7 p.m.

Police say the man was wearing dark clothing and was not in a crosswalk.

Witnesses say the driver didn’t see him.

Police say the driver stayed at the scene, was distraught, and cooperated with investigators.

People close by performed CPR until first responders arrived.

The man was airlifted to hospital and the incident had Fraser Highway closed between 273rd and 276 Streets.
