Police have arrested and charged a 15-year-old boy after he allegedly shot a 25-year-old woman in the face with a pellet gun back in April.

On April 25 at around 8:45 p.m., police were called to the 2200 block of Broad Street for a robbery.

According to police, the woman was approached by two young men, who pointed what looked like handguns and demanded she give them her belongings. The woman hesitated and both men shot her in the face two or three times.

The 15-year-old boy has been charged with armed robbery using a restricted firearm, discharge of air gun and possession of firearm ammunition contrary to prohibition order.

The youth made his first court appearance on Thursday afternoon.
