There has been an alleged sexual assault at a residence on the University of Saskatchewan campus.

University protective services received a report late Sunday evening that a sexual assault had taken place Friday evening at the Pine Hall Residence building.

Officials said everyone involved has been identified and believe there was no threat to the campus community.

Support services are being provided to the student who was assaulted, along with building residents.

Students were made aware of the alleged sexual assault in an email Tuesday morning.

University officials said they are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful campus and will be diligent in cases where sexual assault or sexual misconduct is reported.
