Two men are facing charges and a Lloydminster, Alta. police officer was taken to hospital after an arrest early Thursday morning.
On Sept. 28 just before 3 a.m., Lloydminster RCMP received a report that two men were allegedly going to be driving while intoxicated.
The officers located the two outside of a vehicle where the men “became aggressive to police.” According to a Friday news release, a police officer was injured when a bottle was thrown.
While attempting to arrest the two, one officer suffered non-life threatening injuries. The officer was taken to hospital and later released.
Noel Milton, 26, from Edmonton, and Brandon Reid, 24, from Leduc, are each facing charges of obstruction, causing a disturbance and assaulting a police officer. Reid is also facing one breach of recognizance charge.
The two were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 3.
