RCMP officers in northwest Alberta are warning residents to watch for possible fraud attempts after a theft of mail in Glendon, Alta.
On Sept. 16 between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. a person entered the Gledon Post Office and pried open a number of P.O. Boxes, stealing various mail.
The suspect was caught on surveillance video, but their face and head were covered. Police have only described the thief as a “slender unknown person.”
If you suspect that you are the victim of identity theft or fraud, report it to police immediately. You may need to contact your bank or credit card company, and place a fraud alert on your credit reports through Equifax at 1-800-465-7166 and TransUnion at 1-877-525-3823. Frauds should also be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

Glendon is about 211 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.
