A Regina man is facing a slew of charges after an investigation by police into a stolen truck.

Sometime between 10:30 p.m. on September 15 and 10 a.m. on September 16, a Ford F250 truck was stolen from a compound located in the 3300 block of Pasqua Street. On Tuesday September 19, police received a tip that the stolen truck was spotted in the area of Parliament Avenue and Bell Street.

Police found the vehicle which was being driven by a man.

The truck was followed to a location south east of Regina. The truck then slid into the ditch where officers were able to arrest the man inside.

The man arrested was also wanted for a number of warrants for drugs and weapons.

Once officers searched the truck they found two long-barreled firearms, three zip-guns (fabricated guns), numerous rounds of ammunition, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, several knives and numerous tools and electronics believed to be stolen.

Twenty-five year-old Kyle Otway of Regina is facing numerous charges including careless use of a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of a scheduled substances.

Otway makes his first court appearance in Provincial Court on Wednesday afternoon.
