Sentencing arguments are expected to be made Monday, for Jennifer Halford, the Calgary mother who pretended to have breast cancer.
Halford pleaded guilty to seven counts of fraud last November dating back to the beginning of the year.

She claimed she had aggressive breast cancer and that she and her family had lost everything in the Fort McMurray wildfires in 2016. She received donations including gift cards, food, clothing, babysitting and beauty treatments.
Several mothers said they met Halford at Jamie’s Preschool, a place for children facing cancer, blood disorders, organ transplants and other critical illnesses.
Global News interviewed Halford seven years ago about her own daughter’s illness. The five-year-old died in January, 2011, after a four-year battle with mitochondrial disease.

Halford was originally supposed to be sentenced in the spring of this year, however the hearing was rescheduled while a psychiatric assessment was completed.
