It started when Vancouver police spotted two alleged suspects in an Abbotsford break and enter resulting in a short chase that ended in Burnaby near Canada Way and 16th Avenue.

The new video shows an unmarked police car ram the suspect vehicle and then collide with a parked car.

One suspect emerges from the vehicle, and, after tear gas is fired, surrenders immediately. The other suspect stays inside the car but is dragged out by a police dog.

According to Vancouver police, the break and enter happened at a retail store in Abbotsford around 4:30 a.m. on Aug. 10.

Fifty-two-year-old Richard William Hamvai of Maple Ridge has been sentenced to 11 months for break and enter.

Jacob Barry Wallis, 35, of Abbotsford has been charged with break and enter and his case is still before the courts.
