Organizers are gearing up for the 37th annual Terry Fox Run in London on Sunday.
Taking place at Springbank Gardens, organizers say there’s a fully paved track where people can walk, run, cycle, or push a wheelchair.
Registration is set to begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday, with the event officially kicking off at 10 a.m.
“We normally get on the order of 1,200 people,” said Pete Ferguson, a member of the run’s organizing committee. Having done plenty of promotional work, he wants to at least maintain those figures.

“London has always been very generous,” he said.
“People of the City of London fulfill Terry’s dream every year. He wanted to raise a dollar from every Canadian, we do that every single year. Our site alone has raised over $3 million in the life of the Terry Fox Run.”
The event is dog-friendly, but organizers say canines must be kept on a leash. People can take part in either the 2k, 5k, or 10k distances.
“The whole family can take part. There’s no registration fee, no minimum pledge required. It’s just a great way to get everyone involved in a special event, and support cancer research.”
