The Saskatchewan Huskies women’s hockey team made it to the Canada West semifinals in the 2016-17 season.
They were led by goaltender Cassidy Hendricks, who had the second-best save percentage in the conference through the playoffs.

Hendricks has graduated, leaving three second-year goalies vying for the starting job between the pipes.
The current battle is between Jasey Book and Cloe Marshall as Jessica Vance, who transferred from Manitoba, isn’t eligible to play with the Huskies until Nov. 5.
Marshall, who transferred from Northland College in Wisconsin, said the hardest part is gaining the trust of teammates as nobody knows who she is.
“It’s hard to be a goalie because you have to gain their trust more,” Marshall said.
“Especially coming to a new team, they don’t know who you are or how you play, so it’s a little scary.”

Book said they support each other no matter who is in net.
“It’s kind of tough being a goalie, there’s only one of us who can play, and it’s just supporting one another,” Book stated.”
The friendly battle between the pipes continues this weekend when the Huskies face Mount Royal in pre-season action.
