‘The Cops for Kids’ ride is a grueling, 10-day 1,000 kilometre ride to raise awareness and money for children in medical, physical or traumatic stress.

This year’s team departed Kelowna on Sept.8.

The riders are pedaling across the Okanagan, Kootenay and Thompson regions.

The officers will return to Kelowna on Sunday, Sept. 17.

A homecoming will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Ramada Hotel at 2170 Harvey Avenue and the public is invited to come out and welcome home the police officers.

This is the 16th year the “Cops for Kids’ ride has taken place.

It has raised more than $4-million since starting in 2001.

All the money raised within the Southeast District stays in the region.
