The Labour Day rematch took place in Edmonton on Saturday night, as the Calgary Stampeders paid the Eskimos a visit.
A defensive start saw the first quarter ending with Calgary in the lead 3-0.
In the second quarter, Edmonton receiver Derel Walker, who returned to the team after being released by the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, had the first major of the game giving the Eskimos a 6-3 lead over the Stampeders.
The Stamps fought back for 12-9 lead at the half.
The third quarter saw both teams putting points on the board, and it was 18-12 for the Stampeders.
In the fourth quarter, Calgary lost Junior Turner to an injury after he was carted off the field. Edmonton came back with a major to take the lead 22-18 after the three minute warning. But the Stampeders came back with a touchdown from Marquay McDaniel with less than a minute left for a 25-22 win.
The Stamps have now won seven straight games.
They’ll host the B.C. Lions on Saturday, Sept. 16.
