Police release photos of suspects after cyclist shot in northeast Edmonton

Police issued a plea for help from the public on Wednesday as they try to locate two suspects in connection with the shooting of a cyclist in northeast Edmonton last week.

At about 1:20 a.m. on Aug. 30, officers were called to a weapons complaint at a gas station in the area of 118 Avenue and 35 Street. According to police, it’s believed a fight broke out between a cyclist and people inside a vehicle after the bicycle hit the vehicle’s front bumper. Police say they believe a man in the vehicle then shot the cyclist, who was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police did not say if the victim was a child or an adult or whether they were male or female.

On Wednesday, police released photos of two suspects wanted in connection with the shooting.

The first suspect is an 18- to 20-year-old man who is 5’10” tall and weighs between 160 and 180 pounds. He has dark hair and was last seen wearing a black jacket, a white T-shirt, white capri pants and Adidas sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a 20-year-old man who is 5’10” tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He has brown hair and was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt with “Keep It” written across the front. He was also wearing blue jeans and grey sneakers.
