Business in small Alberta town robbed at gunpoint

Police are searching for two men after an armed robbery north of Edmonton.

Morinville RCMP said two men entered a business in the Town of Gibbons at 2:10 a.m. Saturday with what looked like a handgun and a canister of bear spray. The pair of suspects were dressed in dark coveralls, balaclavas and gloves.

They demanded an employee open the till, the safe and the VLTs. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.

The men entered the business through the front door and left on foot through the back entrance.

Neither the employee nor the two customers were injured during the robbery.

The two suspects are described as white males, in their 20s with slender builds.

Anyone with information about the crime or the suspects is asked to contact Morinville RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Gibbons is about 37 kilometres north of Edmonton.
