Several schools in B.C.’s Interior will not be opening today as raging wildfires continue to threaten the region.

Due to the massive Elephant Hill wildfire, the following schools will not be opening today:

  • Horse Lake Elementary
  • Alexis Creek
  • Anahim Lake
  • Dog Creek
  • Tatla Lake

In addition, for schools that are opening today, school buses will not be running in areas where evacuation orders and alerts are in place so parents will be responsible for getting kids to school.
