Halifax Regional Police have arrested and charged a 55-year-old man for masturbating in public.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m. Thursday, officers received a complaint that a man was masturbating in the plain view of the public on Upper Water Street.

Police found the man on a nearby bench and arrested him.
The man, whose name has not yet been released, is facing charges of committing an indecent act.
He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Friday.
