Texas native Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation team has rescued over 70 dogs already after Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc, leaving at least 20 people dead and thousands without homes.
Lambert, 33, took to Instagram to confirm that she and her team were doing all they can to rescue the animals from the horrific flooding, with her sending her foundation down to Houston with trailers full of pet supplies and food.
The singer posted: “My roommates tonight sure are cute! Mama and newborns that were born this morning. I’m calling her Ashley after @ashleymonroemusic who just had a baby herself. @muttnationfoundation rescued 72 dogs today who are being transported to dry safe shelters across the country. Thanks for y’alls support. Stay tuned tomorrow and continue to pray.”
“#muttnationfoundation #hurricaneharvey #texasstrong #elvirathebus #tourbusrescue,” she added.
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was quick to offer Lambert and her foundation his support:
