Toronto police made the arrests in the July 29 attack within the last week. Investigators say three 17-year-old boys were walking in George Ben Park, near Ossington Avenue and College Street, at around 2:45 p.m. when they were approached by three of the suspects.

The group demanded clothing that the 17-year-olds had just purchased and attacked them when they refused, according to police.

One of the victims suffered serious injuries after being pistol whipped and stabbed. Investigators say the attackers fled in a minivan with along with other suspects without actually obtaining any of the clothing.

Omari Clarke, 18, of Mississauga, has been charged with three counts of robbery with an offensive weapon, aggravated assault and two counts of failing to comply with a disposition.

Five others in the case, including two as young as 14, are facing similar charges. They cannot be named due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
