Police search for 3 men wanted for robbing, stabbing and pepper spraying a man in southwest Calgary

Calgary police are searching for three men who robbed, stabbed and pepper sprayed a man at a courtyard east of the Aquitaine Tower on 5 Avenue S.W – Aug 16, 2017

Police have released video of a violent robbery in southwest Calgary in the hopes it will lead investigators to the suspects.

On Saturday, July 15, investigators said a man in his 20s was standing with a group of five other people in the courtyard east of Aquitaine Tower at 5 Avenue S.W.

Three men in the group grabbed the man’s backpack. According to police, he was stabbed, beaten and pepper sprayed.

Police said Wednesday that he stumbled across the street to a nearby Poco Loco Pizza shop on 4 Avenue S.W., where witnesses called 911.

All of the suspects are said to be in their early 20s.

Both suspects were described as 5’10” with slim builds. The first was wearing a black hoodie, black T-shirt, black pants, black shoes and a black baseball cap.

Police said the second suspect was wearing a grey hoodie, grey jeans, white running shoes and black gloves, with sunglasses on his head.

A third suspect was wearing a white T-shirt, grey shorts, black socks and shoes and a black baseball cap with sunglasses. Investigators said he walked with a noticeable limp and was wearing a “large black bag” around his neck.

The victim was treated in hospital and was recovering from his injuries as of Wednesday afternoon.
