Five orphaned kids in Abbotsford who have dealt with one tragedy after another are faced with another obstacle.
Family advocate Jen MacPherson says their landlord served the children with an eviction notice on Wednesday.
“The landlord was there and said they wanted to use the house for family members and that they are giving the kids two months, and that’s longer than they actually have to give them.”

MacPherson says the children are exhausted but she’ll fight to keep them together.
“My name is on the lease now and I said I’ll handle this.”
She says an arbitrator has come forward to help and plans to go to the Residential Tenancy Branch.
“He’s got the paperwork and he says there are a lot of discrepancies in the way the landlord is handling this, everything from not serving two leases to both parties.”
The children are between 15 and 22, and they’ve had to deal with the murder of their brother, the death of their mom and recently, the passing of their father.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family to help pay for bills and living costs. So far they’ve raised $140,000.
