Vancouver police confirm a 49-year-old man has died after being hit by a charter bus near Canada Place on Sunday morning.
Police say a 15-year-old sustained minor injuries and an elderly man remains in hospital with serious injuries.
Police confirmed all three were related and were visiting from Massachusetts, U.S.
Earlier on Sunday B.C. Emergency Health Services said two patients were in critical condition and two were in serious condition.
It is still unclear what caused the accident.
Vancouver Police say the investigation is ongoing and is being handled by the VPD Collision Investigation Unit.
“Our Collision Investigation Unit will look at everything as far as witness statements, canvassing video, just a couple of the things they do,” said Sgt. Jason Robillard.

He said there will also be a mechanical inspection of the vehicle.
“There will be a lot of other partnerships involved with this investigation. It does take quite some time for the facts to sort of come out and the investigation be completed.”
Mushfiqur Rahman was on a break from work when the incident took place.
“I was talking to a person when I heard the crash,” he said.
He said the bus driver seemed to be in great emotional pain following the incident.

Firefighters and paramedics attended the scene.
About a dozen people were taken off the tour bus after the incident.
The charter bus is part of the Vancouver Trolley Company.
The company wrote a statement on Facebook saying they will fully cooperate with police and their investigation.
“It’s with deep regret we confirm that one of our tourist buses was involved in a tragic accident in Vancouver this morning,” read part of the post written by General Manager, Stuart Coventry.
“We are shocked and saddened and our focus right now is on the people who were injured and the families of those injured and deceased.”
The company wrote they hope to share more information as early as Monday.
