OPP appeal to public in search for missing Bruce County man

Bruce County OPP is asking for the public’s help as they search for an 84-year-old man who hasn’t been seen or heard from in three weeks.

Officers say Walter Allan of Dorcas Bay Road in Northern Bruce Peninsula told his family on July 18 he was going to Montreal to attend a conference. He said he’d return on July 23 but never did.

The OPP describes Allan as white, 5’8″, weighing between 150 and 160 lbs. with a thin build. He has white hair and a full white beard.

Officers say Allan also has Parkinson’s disease and isn’t allowed to drive, but he may be operating a red, 2007 Ford Focus ZXW station-wagon style vehicle.

The vehicle has Ontario plates reading ABNW 718.
