A woman is dead after a hit and run in St. Boniface Thursday morning and police are searching for the driver that struck her.
Cst. Rob Carver said the suspect vehicle is believed to be directly related to a crime that occurred earlier in the day, but couldn’t give anymore details regarding the prior incident.

“We have bulletins out throughout the city so every police officer in the city is aware of the suspect vehicle,” Carver said.
Eastbound Marion Street is expected to remain closed between Traverse Avenue to Braemar Avenue throughout the afternoon and past rush hour.
Police first responded to the area at approximately 11:40 a.m.
