UPDATE: 85-year-old woman missing in Edmonton found safe in Calgary

An 85-year-old woman who was reported missing to Edmonton police on Tuesday was found safe and unharmed in Calgary Thursday morning.

Police asked for the public’s help Wednesday afternoon to try and find her.

According to police, she left the Misericordia Hospital in the area of 87 Avenue and 169 Street at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday to go for a walk.

They said she left the hospital with her walker. She was last seen heading east on 87 Avenue toward an Esso gas station at 165 Street.

Police said there was no indication of foul play.
