I was in a store yesterday when the manager — a man I’d never met — recognized me and came over to express his disgust over the Omar Khadr payout.
As I was listening to him, a lady shopper happened by and expressed her profound outrage. Then she apologized for inserting herself into our conversation, but said she just had to get in her two cents on the $10 million.
I had thought the anger might subside a little by now, but it has not.
Too many people are not buying the “rights” explanation from Ottawa. Bill emails to say you cannot have rights without accepting responsibility for your actions.
My question is, if there was a $10 million crime against Khadr, where are the criminals?
Would the paperwork not have their names? Why are they not on trial?
Were the guilty just quietly let go with fat pensions or are they just lying low?

Governments depend on voters having short memories, and that often works.
