Calgary police have laid additional charges against a former board member of the Calgary Homeless Foundation accused of sexually assaulting vulnerable teens.
In March, police announced Robin Adair Wortman, 62, had been charged with sexual assault and assault with a weapon in relation to two incidents.
In one, a 17-year-old boy reported he had been sexually assaulted. Police allege the teen accepted what he thought was crystal meth from Wortman, but was actually date-rape drug GHB. It’s alleged he was then sexually assaulted once he was incapacitated.

In the second incident, on Sunday, March 12, a 19-year-old man alleged Wortman had chased him down the hallway of a southwest apartment building with a large knife. The teen was unharmed.
On Thursday, police announced new charges had been laid against Wortman after a 17-year-old came forward to police on May 31 to report he was sexually assaulted and forcibly confined in Wortman’s apartment. It’s alleged the incident took place in late 2016.
Police said a search warrant has since been executed on Wortman’s apartment.
He now faces additional charges of trafficking, making child pornography, distributing child pornography, possessing child pornography, accessing child pornography, luring, sexual assault, forcible confinement and sexual exploitation.
