Halifax police are investigating an alleged robbery after a 15-year-old male youth says he was approached by a man while walking with his friend.

According to police, the youth said he was walking on Bayers Road near the Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Wednesday, when a man walked by him and his friend, and tried to cause an altercation and intimidate the youth. He said the man demanded that the victim empty his pockets or he would be knocked out.

The youth said he gave a sum of money to the suspect who left the area.

Police say they responded at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The man is described as in his early 20s, white, standing six feet tall with blond hair. He was wearing a black muscle shirt and dark shorts and his right arm is covered in tattoos.

There are no reported injuries.
