Service on the Lakeshore West GO train line has resumed after a man was fatally struck east of Port Credit Go Station.

Metrolinx spokesperson Vanessa Barrasa says the service was told about the fatality just before 11 a.m. Saturday.

Trains were halted between Port Credit and Long Branch GO stations.

Barrasa says the Toronto Transit Commission and Mississauga bus services were running shuttles between both stations.

The Lakeshore West line fully re-opened shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday, but trains continued to run with some delays.
