Residents looking for something tasty to do this weekend are being invited to the Metroland Media Agriplex at the Western Fair for the 5th annual Beer and BBQ Show.
Visitors can sample more than 100 beverages and enjoy some barbequed treats while watching cooking demos, live music and playing summer games.
“We have lots going on, so of course we have beer and BBQ as the name would suggest but we truly have something for everybody,” said marketing manager Skye Nicholson Smith. “We have lots of beer, craft beer, and if you’re not a beer fan we have craft cocktails, coolers, spirits, wines and of course the traditional barbeque but we also have lots of different types of food, activities, music.”
The show opens Friday at 4 p.m. and runs until 10:30 p.m. It also runs Saturday from noon to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
“The amount of different activities that we have at the show will complement the beer and barbeque and exhibitors that we have,” said Nicholson Smith. “Everything from bubble soccer, a tailgate toss tournament, trivia going on, a hypnotist, the music, so you certainly won’t be bored and we have a lot to fill the day.”
Admission is $16 at the door.
