A charge has been laid in connection to a crash on Wednesday that sent several people to hospital, including half a dozen children.
Middlesex OPP, Thames Centre fire services, and Middlesex-London EMS responded to a three-vehicle collision at approximately 2:32 p.m.
According to police, a yellow school bus travelling southbound on Nissouri Road turned eastbound at Evelyn Drive and was struck on the passenger side by a green dump truck travelling northbound on Nissouri Road.
The bus then struck a black Volkswagen SUV which was stopped facing westbound on Evelyn Drive at the stop sign. The SUV came to rest in the northeast corner off the roadway.
Six students ranging in age from 14 to 19 were on the bus at the time of the collision. They were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and have since been released.
The driver of the bus, a 40-year-old woman from London, was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to hospital by Ornge air ambulance and has since been released.
The driver of the Volkswagen also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the dump truck, a man from London, was uninjured.

As a result of the police investigation, the driver of the bus has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with left turn – fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision.
