The City of Edmonton said the LRT was back to operating normally Thursday morning, after a problem shut down part of the system on Wednesday afternoon.

Train riders were forced onto buses after a “serious electrical issue” along the Capital Line during rush hour.
At around 4 p.m., the city said there was a report of an issue with on an overhead power line which powers the LRT, somewhere between the Churchill and Stadium stations.
The issue disrupted service on both the Capital and Metro lines.
Service along the Capital Line was unavailable between the Grandin and Coliseum stations. Service along the Metro Line was unavailable between the Grandin and NAIT stations.
