Mississauga male shooting victim dies, Peel police homicide officers called in

Peel Regional Police homicide officers are investigating a fatal shooting near Square One Monday evening.

Police said emergency crews were called just after 7 p.m. to Bishopstoke Lane and Meadows Boulevard, north of Burnhamthorpe Road East between Hurontario Street and Central Parkway East.

Crews found a male victim with gunshot wounds who was later pronounced dead. He has since been identified by police as 24-year-old Nadeem Rahaman of Mississauga.

Police believe this is an isolated incident and are searching for a four-door sedan last seen fleeing the area.
