Edmonton police are involved in a very fluid investigation as they try to solve a recent beer theft.

Police say someone stole two semis loaded with beer from a holding yard in southeast Edmonton on May 3. The trucks and trailers turned up a couple of days later in an industrial area near 56 Avenue and 67 Street, but the beer was long gone. Now police hope that public tips will bubble to the surface, so they can bottle up the thirsty thieves.

Police estimate the value of the stolen beer at $160,000.

Police describe the recovered semis as a white 2008 Freightliner and a burgundy 2009 Freightliner. They were both pulling trailers, one burgundy with a large white decal and one white with a large burgundy decal.
