With a wet, windy day in store for much of Alberta on Wednesday, high stream flow advisories are in place for areas northwest of Edmonton.

Alberta Environment and Parks originally issued a flood watch for the banks along the Paddle and Pembina rivers on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, the flood watch was downgraded to a high stream flow advisory.

“Be cautious of rising water levels and take appropriate precautionary measures,” read a post on the Alberta Emergency Alert website. “Take appropriate measures to avoid flood damage. Contact your local municipality for more information or to report conditions in your area.”

  • Selected Tributaries of the Smoky and Little Smoky River
  • Tributaries of the Athabasca River upstream of the Town of Athabasca
