A woman was taken to the hospital after an early morning assault in Winnipeg’s West End Tuesday.
Police said the assault happened around 2:30 a.m. The women has since been upgraded to stable.

Police blocked off Ellice Avenue between Downing Street and Garfield Street to investigate.
One man has been arrested, police said.
There’s no word yet on the person’s condition or if a weapon was used in the assault.
