Edmonton police are asking for the public’s help finding a man involved in an altercation with peace officers at the University of Alberta Monday night.
Police were called to the campus at around 11:45 p.m. for reports of a disturbance near 85 Avenue and 112 Street.
Two U of A protective services peace officers contacted EPS, reporting they had been pepper-sprayed while trying to arrest two people for outstanding provincial warrants.
The woman was arrested for an outstanding bylaw warrant and was released with a promise to appear in court.
The man, who allegedly pepper-sprayed the peace officers, got away on a bicycle.
Police say he’s been identified as 30-year-old Robert Brookes. He’s described as approximately 5’11” and 185 lbs. He was last seen wearing jeans, a black zip-up hoodie and a baseball hat.
Anyone with information about where Brookes could be is asked to call police at 780-423-4567 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
