The first suspicious fire was set in the 700 block of Lawson Ave in May of 20-13….then the 100 block of Kneller Rd in March of 20-15 and 2 months later in the 200 block of Nickel Rd.
In all three cases, flames starting shooting from the ground level of these residential structures in the early hours of the morning when residents were sleeping. They were all set using an accelerant on the siding – which caused the fire to spread quickly upwards. None of the victims are known to police and haven’t been linked to criminal activities. No motive has been identified.
Luckily, no one was hurt. But if it wasn’t for alert residents things could have been deadly. Police want to make sure this doesn’t happen again.
