3 Vancouver police cruisers damaged in crash involving stolen vehicle

The Vancouver Police Department is investigating this morning after a multi-vehicle crash damaged three of its vehicles Tuesday night.

The crash happened at East 6th Avenue and Clark Street and tied up traffic for the evening commute.

Police say at 6 p.m., an officer spotted a man who was driving a stolen vehicle. He was eventually boxed in and attempted to push his way out and collided with an unoccupied vehicle that was parked nearby.

Police say there were no injuries.

The driver was taken into custody and is expected to face charges for the possession of stolen property.
