All Shaw internet and phone services were restored by 4 p.m. MT on Thursday after an outage, the communications company said in a statement.
Service went down at 1:27 p.m. MT, “as a result of a software failure during a routine upgrade to (the) network.”

The service interruption affected “significant number” of home and business customers across Western Canada.
“We sincerely apologize to our customers for this inconvenience,” the statement read.
The cause of the outage is still under investigation.
