Sunalta CTrain Station reopens following suspicious package investigation

Calgary police temporarily shut down the Sunalta CTrain Station on Thursday morning to investigate reports of a suspicious package.

Officers were called to the station on 10 Avenue S.W. at around 5:50 a.m.

At around 7:30 a.m. police tweeted that the situation had been “resolved without incident” and the station had been “reopened.”

Calgary Transit brought in shuttle buses to transport LRT passengers around the station while it was closed.

Police haven’t released any further details on what, if anything, was found at the CTrain station.
