Police were called at around 12:30 a.m. Monday to a home on 32 Street near 130 Avenue in the Belmont neighbourhood. Officers arrived to find the woman dead in the home.

Police tape could be seen blocking off a 1970s-style bungalow, and several EPS vehicles were parked in front of the home.

The house is listed as being owned by Kathy and Dale Dickout and neighbours confirmed the couple has lived in the home for decades.

The couple’s next door neighbour said she saw their adult son, Jason, being taken out of the house naked, in handcuffs by police in the middle of the night.

The neighbour said the couple’s daughter, who does not live with them, was outside too, telling her brother to cooperate with officers.

Police said an autopsy has not yet been scheduled due to the Medical Examiner’s office being closed for Easter Monday. Police said additional information will be released after an autopsy is done later this week.
