Pedestrian struck by vehicle appears intoxicated: Saskatoon police

Police say a 23-year-old woman may have been intoxicated when she was struck by a vehicle in downtown Saskatoon.

The pedestrian collision occurred at the intersection of 21st Street East and 4th Avenue South at around 1:20 a.m. CT on Sunday.

The woman was taken to hospital with minor, non-life threatening injuries.

Saskatoon police officials said alcohol appears to be a contributing factor in this collision and no charges are pending against the driver.

The investigation is ongoing.
