The City of Saskatoon will review neighbourhood traffic in 11 areas over the next few months.
The Neighbourhood Traffic Review program began three years ago to address traffic issues in the city’s residential areas.

“The majority of the concerns we hear from residents are with regard to pedestrian safety,” Angela Gardiner, the city’s director of transportation, said.
Issues with crossing the street and speeding are common concerns, she added.
Typical measures undertaken include traffic calming through methods like curb extensions, Gardiner said.
The program consists of at least two community meetings. People can voice concerns and possible solutions, and then the city can undertake traffic studies and analysis.
People will get letters to alert them about any upcoming meetings in their area.
Eleven Saskatoon neighbourhoods will be reviewed in 2017:
- Queen Elizabeth
- Exhibition
- Buena Vista
- Erindale
- Arbor Creek
- Pleasant Hill
- Dundonald
- North Park
- Richmond Heights
- Silverwood Heights
- Wildwood
Saskatoon’s Neighbourhood Traffic Review program received the project of the year award for 2016 by the North Saskatchewan chapter of the Project Management Institute.
People can also submit feedback on transportation issues online.
