Business armed robbery, home invasion in Île-à-la-Crosse, Sask.

Île-à-la-Crosse RCMP say four men are facing charges after an armed robbery and home invasion in the northern Saskatchewan community.

At around 5:20 p.m. CT on April 8, police were called to multiple reports of an armed robbery at a business. A masked suspect reportedly threatened an employee with what appeared to be a handgun.

The suspect fled in a vehicle with an undetermined amount of cash.

Mounties quickly located the vehicle and conducted a high-risk takedown where the lone occupant was taken into custody without incident.

At around 3:15 p.m. on April 9, officers arrested three more men at a Île-à-la-Crosse residence in relation to the robbery.

RCMP officials said further investigation resulted in two of four men being charged with an armed home invasion and robbery that occurred around 2:30 a.m. the same day.

Two 23-year-old men, Sheldon Hanson and Brady Durocher, are facing charges that include robbery, assault with a weapon and breaking and entering.

Daniel Crooker, 49, is facing charges of robbery and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. Jesse Durocher, 27, is also facing a charge of robbery.

The four remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in Île-à-la-Crosse provincial court on Wednesday.

This investigation is still ongoing.
