Truckloads of stolen property, including vehicles, bicycles, license plates, and power tools were found on a property in the Surrey neighborhood of Newton.
The RCMP arrested six people after executing two searches at two different properties in Surrey in early March.
The first search came from a tip that was given to police about a property in the 14100 block of 83 Avenue. The search, which took place on March 10 resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of stolen items, including eight bicycles, various types of tools, and an airsoft replica handgun.

Investigators believe the items were stolen during break and enters, and they are working to determine if this case is connected to other investigations, currently no charges have been laid.
On March 16, the District 3 Community Response Team executed another search in the 9700 block of 182A St. During the search, officers found an abundance of items which are believed to be stolen, and are working alongside City of Surrey Bylaws and the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia’s Special Investigation Unit to match the property with its rightful owners.
Some of the items located and seized were nine vehicles, three motorcycles, two trailers, one ATV, stolen license plates, numerous garage door openers, personal documents, 100 vehicle keys, and assorted power tools.

“Developing and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders is part of the Community Response Team mandate and this certainly assisted us with respect to these two problem properties,” says Inspector Andy LeClair, Community Support and Safety Officer for Surrey RCMP in a news release. “We will continue to work closely with our City of Surrey Bylaws partners to prevent illegal activity from happening at these properties in the future.”
