A young Green Day fan experienced the time of his life after he was pulled on stage during the band’s Wednesday night’s concert at Montreal’s Bell Centre.
“Last night was the most amazing thing that ever happened to me. I got to play on stage at the Bell Centre with my favourite band of all time, Green Day,” Nathan Guilbault wrote on Youtube.
“I can’t thank them enough for this forever inspiration.”
Billie Joe Armstrong, singer of the punk rock band, signaled for Guilbault to join him on stage.
The 11-year-old, who attended the show with his mother, gladly obliged, raising his hands in victory as he stepped onto the stage.
Armstrong showed him a few chords on guitar before promptly letting Guilbault take over while he sang beside him.
The band finished the song and Armstrong gave Guilbault a well-deserved high-five before telling him, “You get to keep the guitar.”
“He’s on top of the world today,” his father, Brad Guilbault, told Global News.
“He’s been playing their songs for a long time and to get the opportunity was just insane.”
A chant of “Nathan, Nathan” erupted in the crowd as Guilbault headed back to his seat.
