Stevenson bought the ticket at Ridge Mart Grocery in southeast Calgary on Feb. 18 and won on that night’s draw.

Stevenson said he has a couple ideas for his winnings, including enjoying a trip already planned for this month.

“We already planned to go to Mexico, but now I think we’ll make it a bigger trip and get our kids to come along too,” he said.

Stevenson also hopes the win will allow him to retire earlier than he previously planned.
