At least 20 vehicles involved in crashes on the Cape Horn Interchange in Coquitlam

It’s a busy morning on Metro Vancouver roads Monday.

Coquitlam RCMP is asking the public to avoid the Cape Horn Interchange until the icy conditions clear up.

Police say there have been multiple collisions since just before 6 a.m., involving at least 20 vehicles.

Even emergency vehicles and tow trucks are having trouble in the ice.

Police have now re-opened the area but are still urging drivers to be cautious on the roads.

Traffic in the area is very heavy.
